Purpose

This site is my meager attempt to use my website creation and management abilities to help raise awareness, provide information and resources about bullying and mobbing, and the resulting economic, professional and health consequences.

Bullying

Bullying is intentional aggressive behavior that can take the form of physical or verbal harassment and involves an imbalance of power among, most notably in the schoolyard or workplace.

Mobbing

Bullying of an individual by a group in any context, such as a family, school, workplace, neighborhood, or community. When it occurs as emotional abuse in the workplace, such as "ganging up" by co-workers, subordinates or superiors, to force someone out of the workplace through rumor, innuendo, intimidation, humiliation, discrediting, and isolation.

Mental Health

A person's overall emotional and psychological condition, ranging from psychological well-being and satisfactory adjustment to society and to the ordinary demands of life to the psychological state of someone who has emotional or behavioral problems serious enough to require psychiatric intervention.
